The Sheffield Kerala Cultural Association (SKCA) a non-profit Cultural Association for the people from Kerala, Southern State of India living in and around Sheffield . KERALA is a state on the south-western tropical Malabar Coast of India. Kerala borders States of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka to the east and northeast and the Indian Ocean islands of Lakshadweep and the Maldives to the south.

Sheffield city is a metropolitan borough of South Yorkshire, England. It is so named because of its origins in a field on the River Sheaf that runs through the city. Sheffield obtained worldwide recognition during the 19th century for its production of steel. Many innovations in the industry were developed locally, including crucible and stainless steel. Sheffield received its city charter in 1893, and officially became the City of Sheffield.

In late 2005, a small group of malayalee families, who believed in preserving Kerala’s rich culture formed Sheffield Kerala Samajam, which later changed its name to ‘Sheffield Kerala Cultural Association.
